The Full Story
I am an author and a man of faith, called to testify to the life-changing power of God’s truth. My life serves as evidence that healing, deliverance, and restoration are possible through obedience to God's Word. While my message is for all mankind, it is especially for those within the LGBTQ+ community, because I am a survivor of the very lifestyle from which God delivered me.
My story did not begin with ease or advantage. I was raised in deep poverty, in a single-parent home with my grandparents, and with responsibilities that required maturity far beyond my years. I barely graduated high school, and my first attempt at college ended when my grandmother became terminally ill. Faced with survival, I worked full-time as a school bus driver while helping raise my younger brother, who was still in middle school at the time. Yet the greatest battle of my life was not financial, it was spiritual.
For years, I struggled with my sexual identity while remaining in church, bound by sin, deception, and unaddressed spiritual bondage. I became entangled in an occult, which only drove me deeper into darkness. Though I knew my lifestyle was contrary to God, I did not receive the spiritual direction necessary for freedom. Instead, sin was often overlooked in exchange for popularity, competition, and influence.
Eventually, the weight of contradiction became unbearable. I fell into deep depression and suicidal despair, not because someone pressured me to change, but because I desperately wanted truth and to be pleasing to my Father in Heaven. I went on a relentless search for truth, determined not to settle for man's opinions, cultural narratives, traditions, or compromise. That pursuit led me fully to God.
Through the power of His Word, God transformed my life completely. He gave me a new nature, a renewed mind, and a restored purpose. He blessed me with an abundant life, a wife whom I love dearly, and the strength to return to college after eleven years, where I ultimately earned my bachelor’s degree in finance. What once seemed impossible became proof that obedience to God produces freedom, order, and life. This journey shaped the message I now carry.
In 2025, I wrote an autobiography entitled, The Straight Gate: Uncovering the Veil of an Alternative Lifestyle, to serve as a roadmap of deliverance for those who desire change but have never seen a living example of freedom. My purpose is not to slander, condemn, or elevate myself, but to awaken hearts to truth—to show that the belief “once gay, always gay” is not at all true. This is to show that a man can be fully healed, delivered, and set free from the bondage of sin, with no residue, by the power of God. This message is for all people, but especially for the Church—from the pulpit to the pews.
My voice is distinct because I have lived what I write. I do not speak from theory, theology, ideology, philosophy, hearsay, or secondhand teaching, but from personal experience shaped by repentance, obedience, and the transforming power of God’s Word. Truth, integrity, humility, wisdom, obedience, and sound doctrine are non-negotiable foundations in my life, because without God’s Word, nothing else matters or can stand.
The scripture that anchors my calling declares: “A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men” (Proverbs 18:16 KJV). To me, walking the straight gate means embracing the narrow way Jesus described—the path that leads to life, though few are willing to walk it: “Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it” (Matthew 7:14 KJV).
Through Ekenechi LLC, I am launching works, products, and initiatives designed to promote God’s purpose for mankind: reconciliation back unto Himself. Every word written, every platform built, and every message shared is rooted in obedience to God, not self-promotion.
My prayer is that every reader leaves enlightened, stirred to repentance, and awakened to truth. One thing is certainly true: you cannot be free based off a lie. God’s way is not only higher—it is perfect, faithful, and true. Through His mercy, He has provided a way of escape through truth itself, revealed in His Son. As Jesus declared, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32 KJV). Freedom is not found in culture, compromise, or identity apart from God—it is found in obedience to His Word.
